- Free additional German course: you pay for the German course that takes place prior to the internship, but when your internship begins, you can join a German evening course for free: 4 weeks à 2 x 2 lessons each Monday and Wednesday night

Public holidays 2025
2025: MAR 8, APR 18, 21 MAY 01, 29, JUN 09, OCT 3, DEC 22 - 02 JAN 2026
Lessons missed due to public holidays will not be replaced or refunded (except one-to-one courses where missed lessons will not be invoiced). On course days missed because of a public holiday GLS arranges an excursion or a workshop.
Reducing costs by working (Working Holiday Germany)
If you are from Australia, Brasil, Canada, New Zealand, Japan, Hong Kong, South Korea or Taiwan, you can apply for a Working Holiday Visa for Germany - the visa will allow you to look for a job in Germany:
- ages 18 - 30 (35 in Canada)
- stays of up to 12 months
