The Good & the Bad - what did you like best? What least?
I loved how free and unsupervised we were. The only mandatory thing was afternoon classes Monday-Friday for a few hours and other than that we could do whatever we wanted, whether it was walking around the city, doing an organized activity, partying, going out for lunch, etc. You can leave the campus anytime and come back anytime. The campus was beautiful, clean and relaxing and in the best area of Berlin. My teachers were smart and entertaining and they made class fun. The rooms on campus are clean, comfortable and spacious. Probably the only downside to my whole experience at GLS was the lack of fans/air conditioning in the rooms in 35+ degree weather.
Your recommendations for other students
Don’t be afraid to talk to people at the camp because everyone is so nice and wants to make friends - I met some of my favourite people here. Berlin has the most amazing nightlife so make sure you experience it. I recommend staying for 3 weeks because it gives you enough time to settle in, to make a lot of friends and to explore Berlin. I also recommend staying on campus because it’s the most social and convenient residence.
